Li Dongming was born in 1954 in Sichuan Province, China. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Southwest Normal University in 1979. He is currently a professor in Sichuan Fine Art Institute and a member of the Chinese Artists’ Association.
Li Dongming’s paintings are collected by art collectors, art galleries and museums worldwide. He has won many major awards in China and Asia. His paintings are also published and critiqued by art journals, newspapers and art magazines in China and overseas.
His “Yi People in Liang Shan” collection depicts life in its natural and simple way with profoundness and simplicity. The images are simple and natural, transcend time and space, remind us of what life once was.
